Update for 10-04-08 200k brevet

As of 9-15-08 we have 25 riders signed up for the October 4th 200km brevet. Here are some details about the route. The ride start is the Hercules Transit Center in Hercules, CA, near I-80 (and a block from Starbucks if that's your thing). This is a Park and Ride lot so there should be plenty of parking. The ride start is 7am, check-in will end at 6:45. The route will cross the Zampa Bridge, traverse Vallejo, then skirt Fairfield and Vacaville on the way to Winters. This brevet is a sort of season ending ride and for the portions where we gather, it is meant to be a social event. Though this is a departure for the typical SFR ride, we have rented Rotary Park in Winters for our lunch stop, and a simple lunch will be provided. The park is just off of Railroad Ave. in downtown Winters. The return route is via California Highways 128 and 121, Susuin Valley Road and then retracing the route back to Hercules.

We will accept late registrations. In order to help us have all the materials (and enough food) ready, if you can't mail in your registration in time, please email me at or and indicate your intentions.

In the week before the ride, please visit the site to find the queue sheet (.pdf or .xls) and other details about the ride.
